Echo Two video accepted into the Yorkshire Film Archive
The video for Echo Two from Filed Recordings 3 has been accepted into the Yorkshire Film Archive.
The YFA put a call out via this news item: This is YOUR Screen Time: Be a part of Bradford’s Moving Image Legacy, where they hope to create a moving image legacy for Bradford.
The video for Echo Two which was originally released under a Creative Commons license, so I’m happy for it to be used, shared, remixed and so on.
The film itself was shot on St Ives Estate, Bingley, near my home, on a mobile phone. I don’t have a record of the model but it would have had an Android operating system. The camera software had some sort of image stabilisation that could be applied after the recording, so I used that, and that’s what gives it the weird wobble.
The YFA site is really interesting. There’s a great video called Nature Matters, described as ‘a love letter to nature and a call to action’, that was put together using films from their archive that I really recommend.
