Another collection of field recording based tracks. Each track is a small gift to someone. Gathered over the last three years they have been manipulated, extended, and augmented, with an eye on providing some sort of memorable audio hook.

Tracks built up around natural sounds recorded from various places in the UK, India, and Japan.

Immersive musical soundscapes. For best results, find a quiet place. Stop. Listen.

A new collection of manipulated field recordings combined with musical ideas, to bring you sounds, rhythms, and melodies, as I hear and experience them.
Something To Listen to is an album of long-form sound pieces that take time and space to Listen to completely, but can easily be dipped into and out again.
The recordings were made in and around the A Sense Of Place project that I’m involved with, so some of the recordings were made for public broadcast and performance, others were made to simply be listened to.
You can listen for free as often as you like over at Bandcamp.

In the autumn of 2023 a few of us got together to have a go at playing some of The Argent Grub’s songs as a live band. We ended up performing as part of evening of live experimental music at FUSE Art Space called Cyclic Sounds on the 1st December that year.
Released one year on from that performance, this live recording captures the only live performance of these tracks to date.

Written with Andy Howe, who also singes the lead vocal, Your Name Won’t Come is a response to the experiences of a family member living with dementia.

A duet with Lianne Hall who was described by John Peel as “One of the great English voices”, and I’ve been a fan since I first heard her voice on one of his annual Festive Fifty shows. Read the blog post to find out more about Walk.
It’s later than you think.

One More Day / This Place my latest collaboration with Jehanne. One More Day is a radio friendly stadium anthem, while This Place is a more introspective love letter to people and place.
